State Farm Stadium is where the West Valley's biggest days happen: Arizona Cardinals games, the Fiesta Bowl, stadium concerts and championship events. It's a great building to watch something in. Getting in and out with tens of thousands of other people is a different story. Here's how the stadium's parking, drop-off and bag rules work, so your day starts with the event and not with a lot attendant.
Where Is State Farm Stadium?
State Farm Stadium is at 1 Cardinals Drive, Glendale, AZ 85305, right off Loop 101 between Cardinals Way and Glendale Avenue. It's next to the Westgate Entertainment District and Desert Diamond Arena, so there's food and drink within walking distance before and after the event.
From the freeway:
- Coming from the south on Loop 101, exit at Cardinals Way.
- Coming from the north, exit at Glendale Avenue, head west to 99th Avenue, then east on Maryland Avenue to reach Preferred parking.
Without traffic, plan on roughly 25–35 minutes from Sky Harbor or downtown Phoenix and 35–50 minutes from Scottsdale. On a big event day, double it.
State Farm Stadium Parking Lots
The stadium's lots are color-coded:
| Lot | Who it's for | How to get in |
|---|---|---|
| Blue | General parking. Attendants direct cars by capacity and traffic flow. | Loop 101 to Glendale Avenue or Cardinals Way, or surface streets including 91st and 99th Avenues |
| Red | Preferred parking | Only through the entrance at Maryland Avenue and 95th Avenue. Search "Red Lot - State Farm Stadium" in Waze. |
| Black | Day-of parking for anyone without a pre-sold permit, plus rideshare drop-off and pickup | South of the stadium |
ADA parking is available in every parking area. Display a valid state-issued hangtag or plate, and tell the attendant when you arrive. The stadium's website has a downloadable parking map for each event.
How Much Is Parking at State Farm Stadium?
It depends on the event and the lot, so check the parking listing for your specific game or concert. Two rules apply every time:
- The stadium is cashless. Parking is paid by credit card only.
- Buy ahead when you can. The stadium recommends buying parking in advance through SeatGeek. Pre-sold passes get you a closer lot, and day-of parking sends you to the Black Lot.
When Do the Lots Open?
For Cardinals games, the lots open four hours before kickoff. For the Fiesta Bowl, concerts and other events, times vary, so check the event's page on the stadium's website. For big events, arriving when the lots open isn't overkill. At the January 2026 Fiesta Bowl, fans were waiting about an hour just to get into the lots.
Rideshare, Uber and Drop-Off at State Farm Stadium
The stadium's designated spot for rideshare and friends-and-family drop-off and pickup is the Black Lot, south of the stadium. Getting dropped off is usually painless. After the event, expect a long wait for a car, surge pricing, and a crowded lot while 60,000 people try to do the same thing.
State Farm Stadium Bag Policy
State Farm Stadium follows a clear bag policy. You can bring:
- One clear bag (plastic, vinyl or PVC) up to 12" x 12" x 6", including clear totes, backpacks, fanny packs and cinch bags
- Or one one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag
- Plus one small clutch or wallet up to 4.5" x 6.5" x 2", with or without a strap
Anything else goes back to the car. If you're riding with us, leave it in the vehicle.
Hotels Near State Farm Stadium
The closest options are the hotels around the Westgate Entertainment District, within walking distance of the stadium, including the Renaissance Phoenix Glendale Hotel & Spa. They're the first to sell out for big events. If those are booked, or you'd rather stay somewhere with more going on, Scottsdale and downtown Phoenix are common bases. Just plan your ride back, because nobody wants to drive 45 minutes home after a night game.
