Topgolf Scottsdale is one of the Valley's default answers to "what should we do for the group thing" — birthdays, bachelor parties, corporate outings, first dates that need a backup activity. It's golf the way bowling is bowling: climate-controlled bays, giant glowing targets, food and drinks delivered to your couch, and a scoring system that keeps beginners and single-digit handicaps equally entertained. Here's how it actually works, what it costs, and how to get there without anyone drawing the short straw as designated driver.

Where Is Topgolf Scottsdale?

The venue sits at 9500 E. Talking Stick Way in the Talking Stick Entertainment District — technically on Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community land just east of Scottsdale proper, right off the Loop 101. That puts it in dense company: Talking Stick Resort and Casino, Salt River Fields (Cactus League spring training), OdySea Aquarium, and Butterfly Wonderland are all within a couple of minutes, which is why so many groups turn a Topgolf session into a full day out.

How Much Does Topgolf Scottsdale Cost?

Topgolf doesn't sell tickets — you rent a bay, by the hour, for up to six players. The rate climbs through the day: weekday mornings are the cheapest window, weekday evenings sit in the middle, and Friday and Saturday nights are peak. First-time visitors also pay a small one-time lifetime membership fee, and clubs are included with every bay.

The number that actually matters is the split. Because one bay covers six people, even a peak-hour session divided across a full group lands at a modest per-person cost — usually less than each person would spend at a movie-and-dinner night, before anyone touches the menu. Exact hourly rates change by day and season, so check the live rate calendar on the venue's booking page when you pick your date, and if the budget is tight, book the morning.

Do You Need a Reservation?

You can walk in, but on Friday and Saturday nights the wait for a bay is famously long — arrive at 7 pm without a reservation and you may be watching other people golf for a couple of hours. Reserve ahead for evenings and weekends, or go the walk-in route on weekday mornings and afternoons when bays are open and cheapest. Big groups and corporate events can book multiple bays or private spaces through the venue's events team, and those genuinely do book out in high season.

Getting There (And Getting Home)

Drive times to the Riverwalk venue, off the Loop 101 at Via de Ventura:

Starting fromTypical drive
Old Town Scottsdale10–15 min
North Scottsdale / Kierland15–20 min
Tempe / ASU15–20 min
Mesa / Gilbert20–25 min
Downtown Phoenix25–30 min
Sky Harbor AirportAbout 20 min

Parking at the venue is free and plentiful. The catch is the same one every group outing has: bays come with drink service, the Loop 101 comes with DPS, and someone always ends up as the driver who couldn't fully join the party. Our golf outing transportation covers Topgolf trips, not just tee times — an SUV or Sprinter picks up the whole group, everyone plays and drinks like they came to, and the same chauffeur is waiting when the last bay closes. For corporate events, we run multi-vehicle pickups from the office under one booking and one invoice.

Topgolf Scottsdale FAQ

How many people fit in one bay?

Up to six players per bay. Bigger group? Book adjacent bays — most groups rotate and mingle anyway.

Is Topgolf Scottsdale good for non-golfers?

That's most of the crowd. Clubs are included, the games are point-and-swing simple, and the bays are as much lounge as driving range. Nobody's judging anyone's swing.

When is the cheapest time to go?

Weekday mornings, by a wide margin. Rates step up through the afternoon and peak on Friday and Saturday nights.

Can you do a bachelor party or corporate event there?

Yes — multiple bays or private event spaces, booked through the venue. Pair it with group transportation and the logistics disappear: one pickup point, one drop-off, no caravan of rideshares.

Planning a group session? Book the bay and the ride the same day — Friday nights sell out both.
